Mental Health Support for Women and Girls in AES

Recognizing the stigma, discrimination, and mental health challenges faced by women and girls in the adult entertainment sector (AES), we initiated a project aimed at promoting their overall well-being and empowerment. This initiative included self-care training, counseling services, and providing resources to improve access to support services. Our efforts focused on creating a non-judgmental space for these individuals to seek help and prioritize their mental health.

Community Mental Health Workshops

Our community mental health workshops are at the core of our grassroots efforts to destigmatize mental health and promote well-being. Through these interactive sessions, we engage directly with diverse communities across Nepal, fostering open dialogues and creating safe spaces for individuals to share their experiences. Our workshops are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by each community, whether it's rural villages, urban neighborhoods, or marginalized groups. By combining expert knowledge with culturally sensitive approaches, we empower participants with practical tools for self-care, stress management, and emotional resilience.

Rural Awareness Campaigns

We conducted a 3-day skill-based training for community women leaders in partnership with Tokha municipality. The training focused on equipping them with tools for promoting mental health, fostering supportive communities, and addressing challenges.

In many rural regions, there is limited access to mental health services, with fewer mental health professionals and facilities available. This lack of resources can lead to underdiagnosis and undertreatment of mental health issues.

By raising awareness about mental health in rural areas, these campaigns help reduce stigma, increase knowledge about available resources, and encourage open conversations about mental well-being.
