Antardhoni Nepal is a youth-led initiative to promote Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in the context of Nepal. Antardhoni Nepal is a non-profit organization registered under District Administration Office, Kathmandu on Dec 8, 2021, and Social Welfare Council on Dec 9, 2021. We aim to invest our energy to build an appropriate mechanism for addressing mental health and psychosocial needs through service, advocacy, and education. In so doing, Antardhoni Nepal seeks to raise mental health awareness, reduce stigma, identify vulnerable groups and link them to the existing support system. This organization envisions developing and implementing a Community-based Rehabilitation Model that ensures sustainable and productive lives of persons with mental health conditions.
"Antardhoni" (a Nepali word) used in the organization name translates as "Inner Voice" ( in English) embodies our willingness to connect with the people for enabling them to improve their mental health and well-being.
We as a team have come together with a common belief that dealing with the mental health challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. In this light, we are united to make an impact on the mental health scene in the context of Nepal. This inner calling reverberates among the team in pursuit to inspire and support the community people whose voices are unheard of or suppressed due to psychosocial barriers.
